Does anyone know if I should cut these larger leaves off of my prayer plant? I left town for a few weeks and most of the leaves died off because I wasn’t watering it, I’ve been back now for a few weeks and I see new growth but these older leaves seem to be dying too now. The leaves are still very green just curled up on themselves so I’m not sure if they’re too dead to save.

No leave them. They r curled like that bc they went so long w out water. They should go back to normal eventually

To be honest, those leaves don’t seem saveable. I would cut them at the base so the plant can put all its energy into new growth.

Part of my prayer plant got severed from its roots and started to look like that. I took the dying part and put it in water (not tap water) and it perked right up!

I see Browning happening at the tips of some of them. That’s not a very good sign that can be leaf burn or damage from under watering..

Could also be if they’re using tap water!

Yes! Very true! Tap water drains the nutrients out of the soil.

I have one and humidity will make them open back up get a humidifier, I used a small diffuser near mine. Please choose the right water, I don’t use tap at all. My plant came from my brother’s funeral so it meant so much and it still has a ways to go but I saved those 3 leaves 😆I’m still hanging on to them!

When I got mine everyone would say not to over water and I ended up under watering.. I was then told it was the humidity (it wasn’t).. I checked out Aloha Plants on YouTube and learnt a good care schedule and now I have a bunch of healthy leaves after all the old ones did the same thing and got to where I had to remove them before they dropped onto my floor (I didn’t want my bunny to access the leaves) I also placed mine in too much light combined with the under watering!!
