I plucked the two individuals off and drowned them but I’m not sure how to deal with the large clump of then behind the flower

I don’t know why I can’t add more than one photo at a time. Here’s what I found on eradication. Gratefully I haven’t had much experience, but this method worked for me. Best of luck.

Agreed. Mealy bugs. Hydrogen peroxide works well. Do a bit of googling though as I’m not sure if you have to treat them differently due to that being and orchid.

Keep checking for weeks to catch any stragglers or very little ones that may have been difficult to see. Maybe use a mag glass to check crevices. I do wish you luck!!

Just found extensive treatment advice on the American Orchid Society website. Sorry, could not send you the link per Planta guidelines

Mix hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, neem oil, peppermint castille soap and water in a spray bottle and spray away!!

We have tried numerous things, all which resulted in killing our succulents. Only thing we have found that works and doesn’t seem to harm the plants at all is 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (we just buy Equate) and put it in a cheap spray bottle, make sure to label since it looks like water and just spray your whole plant thoroughly. We then keep the spray bottle close by so I can hit the stragglers as we find them. No experience with Orchids unfortunately but hopefully this helps.
