My monstera has gnats and I don’t want them to spread to my other plants. What is the best way to get rid of the gnats?

0 Me gustaOn a real note, cinnamon in the soil works well because it kills larvae. Dehydrating the soil works to get existing gnats to leave you alone. Otherwise, normal pest control like neem oil, etc should top it all off
0 Me gustaThank you. I will try the cinnamon, but also hey you the neem oil as back up.
1 me gustaGnats like moist soil. Monsteras are prone to root rot from wet soil. Make sure you’re not overwatering and that should help both problems!
1 me gustaI used the sticky strips that go in the soil to catch the adult gnats. I also created a dunks tea bag, let it sit overnight in a gallon of water then poured it over the soil to kill any larvae. I never saw any gnats after that.
1 me gustaI just got the sticky traps and they are working great. Added cinnamon to the soil and letting the soil dry out completely. Hoping they all disappear soon.

mosquito bits, dry the plants out until you get to the point you can water them all at once to make sure they haven’t laid their eggs. i get microbe life off of amazon
