I need help with my birkin I bought it with 2 plants in a pot and separated them. My mom took one and I kept the smaller of the 2 but mine has had this new leaf unfurling for weeks now and the leaves are so droopy and sad. It’s in chunky soil with perlite and orchid bark

Maybe not enough water or humidity put a warm wet cloth over the leaf and let it sit on there for a little bit but make sure it doesn’t break the leaf. And take the cloth off and that may help it unfurl.

I’ve done this a few times and it started opening but that’s as far as it will open

Was the new leaf starting when you repotted it? Often times new leaves get “stuck” when that happens because the plant switches to focusing on establishing its roots

It was there when I repotted it. Do you think this new leaf is just a loss should I cut it off?

Since it’s been a couple weeks, yes that’s what I would do. Trim it off so it can grow a new one when it’s ready

my recommendation is to just give it time. check to see if it needs water and drench it if necessary. the leaf may open in time or it may not. i really would not recommend cutting the leaf off, especially considering how new it is. cutting your plants leaves a wound, an opening for potential infection, and should be avoided as much as possible to keep them healthy.
