I always see so many comments about people using neem oil on their plants... but nobody talks about how absolutely foul it smells, and people should be warned. To all the people who do use it, how? To all people who have not used neem oil, it smells like rancid ass. Lol. I use Captain jacks insecticidal super soap and it works great and it's not super stinky. Thank you for coming to my plant talk :) <3

Neem oil is disgusting 🤢 I wear gloves if I use it cause I feel like I can’t get it off when it touches my skin. I stopped using unless completely necessary because my plant room smelled horrible all the time and I couldn’t stand it.

lol honestly I think it smells somewhat like eucalyptus… this is interesting. You can sprinkle diatomaceous earth on the soil of pretty much any plant, it’s a pest prevention and I like it because it’s a source of silica.

lol, thank you for this comment, my husband walked in on me smelling my neem oil bottle and gave me a weird look 😂 I’m on the side of Jill where it smells more eucalyptus than bad lol, I’ve heard peppermint oil has similar pest effects if you like that smell better
