my jade pothos has (what i believe are) mealybugs. i haven't seen any adult mealies so i'm hoping i caught it relatively early, but this is my first time dealing with pests and help is appreciated! it's always isolated (the only plant in my bathroom) which is good- so i'm wondering how the heck it got bugs?! (i've had it for years and pretty much left it alone compared to my other plants). i sprayed/wiped it down with neem oil ~3 times and watered it with the neem oil solution. what's the next step? how long do i need to treat it? is this even mealies? and do they lay eggs near the top of the soil, because i did find egg like clusters in the soil. thank you so much in advance!

there were also small white clumps near the top/base of some leaves, if this helps identify if it's actually mealies

Neem should work but if it doesn’t I like to use rubbing alcohol diluted with water in a spray bottle. I spray the leaves and top of the soil, usually works well for me but do it wearily as it can dry out the plant. I’d also wait about a week from whenever you last applied the neem oil to do that

I agree with the "plantlovingGirlie" use alcohol on a qtip and if it turns kinda yellow then its mealy bugs. Use the alcohol in a spray and spray from top to bottom once a week.
