Just took these leaves off of my African Violet. What is going on here?

    Water happened ; they need to be bottom watered and no water should touch the leaves and crown.

    i recommend a pot made specifically for AVs. it will have an unglazed clay pot that sits inside a glazed bowl. you fill the bowl with water and set the clay pot inside and the water will sloooowly make its way through the pot and into the soil. mine does really well in a 1:1 mix of peat and perlite, and it wouldn’t reject a handful of vermiculite. fast absorbing, fast drying. these are (surprise) native to africa in very dryyyy climates getting their water from the ground only. as a rule for plants — if it has fuzzy leaves — don’t get them wet; bottom water only

      That is the first time I've heard of such a pot and it's such an interesting concept

    I have it in a self watering planter. I just repotted it a little over a week ago, I must have gotten it wet without noticing.
