I have recently adopted a basil plant from Trader Joe. She was very root bound and so I repotted her to a bigger size with a mixture of potting mix, moss, and a bit of perlite. I have been monitoring the soil moisture with the moisture stick to ensure she has adequate water level. However, after a week her condition seem to worsened. She has a lot of new growth but a lot are flimsy and some have brown spots. The bigger leaves are turning yellow and die off pretty fast. I need help diagnose the problem here. Not sure if it is transplant shock syndrome and if so, should bring her indoor away from direct sunlight while she adjusting?

    Basil LOVES light!!! Always make sure she gets lots. But yeah I would avoid direct just bc if she is shocking, she can't take in water the same as normal. But she will get even more upset if you deprive her. The best you can do with shock is be patient. The more we interfere, the more we stress out the already stressed plant. Just make sure the soil is moist and not wet and leave her alone :') If her soil is very wet after a few days, you may need to repot into dry soil and give her a couple days dry. But I would not do that unless you are certain there is rot. If no rot, no meddle! She just needs time to figure out her roots
