I got this air plant not too long ago, and I keep making sure to dry it out completely so it doesn’t get rot- but I’m still finding that it’s getting super crispy! Any suggestions as to what I’m doing wrong or how I can fix this? 🥺

Thank you! Would you say misting it or do I need it by a humidifier?

I let it soak in water once a week for 15-30 minutes then keep it upside down to dry for an hour.
1 j'aimeI literally have not been able to keep air plants alive, the SINGLE survivor loves my frogs tank. It is hanging above a fish tank, squeezed into a crack in the wood- I think what it likes is the humidity+the air circulation from the fan above it. I dunk it in tap water when it looks like it needs it. Humidity level sits at about 70% with spikes and drops. Your location definitely plays a part in keeping them alive, the humidity where I’m at is like 30% and they do NOT LIKE IT
1 j'aimeI live in zone 8b (Oregon) and they do really well here, I find that the air plants with smaller/thinner leaves tend to need a bit more humidity/watering. I have an ionantha and a stricta hybrid. I mist the stricta more frequently than the ionantha but I water the same
