My fiddle leaf fig has been doing SO well but today I noticed the soil has small black bugs crawling (gross) Does anyone know what they could be (Google said maybe fungus gnats) or how to get rid of them ?!?

I get them in a lot of my plants because my apartment is also pretty humid. I make sure the spray the top of the soil with a 1-3 ratio of water and peroxide. Once or twice a month is ok. Then I put the sticky tape for gnats on the sides of the pots. I also have a stem light plug in. With a bright blue light. It usually does the trick for me. If it’s really bad though it wouldn’t hurt to look at the roots just in case. Maybe let the soil dry out a bit more in between watering. I know this is a lot but you will find what works for you best in your environment.
