Please help! My ivy plant has dried out, I noticed it was getting dry several weeks ago so I watered it and it’s never perked back up even after several small waterings so I’m scared I over watered it. I repotted it a little over a month ago into a pot with no drainage holes because I thought ivy was a hearty plant and could handle it but I’ve just now repotted it again into a pot with holes… lesson learned but please help me save her!!

Check the roots to see if there is any black, or rot, if there is you could try propagating the plant, and cut off the black rot

I just checked any the roots looked really good actually, but I sprayed them with diluted hydrogen peroxide just to be safe.

This makes me think it was the lack of drainage that was the issue but I didn’t see any root rot, I have it next to my window because my apartment is westward facing so I wasn’t sure it would get enough. I’ll give it some time to perk up and I’ll mist the leaves before trying the fertilizer when it’s closer to spring. Thank you!!

the pot also looks too big - you want it to be 1-2 inches bigger than the root ball! this also helps prevent root rot, as having excess soil will hold on to moisture for longer :)
