Hi guys I’m pretty new to this app! We recently moved and the previous owner left a few of her plants one of them being a Christmas cactus. She did take many cuttings off of it and when we moved in it wasn’t doing so well. More recently the leaves have been getting covered in a waxy layer then slowly dying leaving like a crispy wax shell. I’m not sure what it is but I figured k would reach out seeing as google doesn’t have many results. Here are a few photos:

oooh looks like you have some varieties of false christmas cacti! a thanksgiving cactus and an easter cactus! their care is all the same, just a difference in time of bloom, and leaf shape! im thinking the crispy leaves are from temperature or light, although i could be wrong. how cold/hot is the windowsil? how often are you watering? have you checked for pests?
