Guzmania bromeliad is sick with yellow and brown spots. I’m not that familiar with this plant and normally keep it under my grow light, but I put it under the sun since it’s pretty sunny today right now any tips would be very helpful.

What are your watering and fertilizing habits like? How often do you water and how do you decide when? Have you inspected the plant for pests? This information will help others give you more accurate advice!

I normally keep it under a grow light. Usually water once the soil is dry and keep it slightly moist. Watering in a cup for the roots to absorb the water. I have been fertilizing with fox farm liquid plant food I have slowed down on the fertilizing since its fall coming on winter and started fertilizing every 4 to 6 weeks. I have checked for pest already and seems clear. The only thing I can think about is the temperatures are dropping and might be too cold some days.

Okay a quick look on Reddit showed me that people typically water these plants from above, letting water sit in the cups a bit (but dumping out & refreshing every once in a while)!
