Help! I have an 8 foot corn plant that has developed black spot, and I need to get it outside to spray it with neem. I don’t want to kill it (even though my husband would like to 😆). Does anybody have a creative idea on how we can get it outside without doing it in or calling in an army to help? TIA.

How do you know it’s black spot the fungus? Is Neem Oil the proper treatment for this? OR do you have black spots on your leaves (non fungus)?

It has been officially diagnosed by several apps. And many of my indoor plants have the same melody, so I am assuming the diagnosis is correct. I have used neem once on most of my plants and this time around I used copper fungicide for all except two large plants.😜

Can you take a picture of the black spots? I wanted to check my Master Gardner book for you.

Why do you need to take it outside to spray it?

I assumed, maybe incorrectly, that either neem or a copper fungicide should be sprayed outside. Is that not the case?

No. Need oil is one of the ones considered safe for humans and pets. 😉

Hi Dondoo52, My husband sprays my plants outdoors when we use neem. Afterwards, I have him throw his clothing into the washer as recommended by the label and have him shower. Plus, you’re not supposed to breathe it. It would be very convenient to spray this giant plant in the house, but I will need a very large quantity to wet all the leaves top and bottom, which means lots of spray into the atmosphere. Does that worry anybody or am I just being a nut? What does everybody else do?😜
