Is this from overwatering? I just got this thai con monstera and noticed this. The soil seemed very damp when I bought it.

    That's probably a sunburn; variegated sections are more prone to that. You can aim the light more towards the green parts or move it away from the light a bit. Also if you use neem oil, that can make plants more vulnerable to burns, so you can try diluting it or using it less often

    Yes, at one point, the soil got too wet and the plant tried to sweat it out but the white parts struggle doing that so it just browns.

    I’ve repotted it since then, anything I can do to make sure she doesn’t continue to brown ☹️

      Best thing to do is use a good mix. After it’s moved, you pretty much shouldn’t move again or it’ll get sad. My trick after repotting is do it before it rains then put the plant outside and let it get rained on. It’ll settle into the pot in a few days this way then I bring it back inside.

    Were the roots still looking okay? I would worry about rot if it was sitting in water for too long. 😟
