I got this philo gigantium cutting from a trade in the past month, i potted it in soil but i checked to day and the bottom with all the roots has started to rot. Is that a node in the second pic? Or a growth point i can use to save it?

It looks like it could be. I’d prop it in water and see what happens. I need to chop my P. Gigantium and prop her as she has recently dropped some leaves. I’m torn between taking it off the moss pole but 🤷🏽‍♀️ it loves to climb! She is currently on 3 clear plastic moss poles making it a little over 4 feet tall. I’d cut off the dead part of the stem and give it a prop try. Either in water, sphagnum moss, or perlite. Keep in touch so we can see your progress on this.

I think it might do better in a humidity chamber with wet moss than just water. That’s usually what I do with cuttings that don’t have leaves.
