Would anyone have any idea what these teeny tiny black specks are ? I’ve been on vacation and came home to this on my pothos!

Fungus gnats. Their larvae lives in the soil. There are many remedies some use to get rid of them. Search the old posts. I use and recommend Mosqito Bits or BTI drops in water every time you water the plants. The BTi beneficial bacteria kills the larvae ending the lifecycle. I have over 140 plants. I don’t have fungus gnats or need yellow sticky papers. I don’t recommend Bonide pesticides. They contain cancer causing ingredients per their warning labels.

I know the larger bugs are fungus gnats but the tiny specks are too? Thank you for your help!

Maybe they’re a larvae version of the adult gnats?

I’m not sure what the tiny bits of insects are. I don’t have enough experience with fungus gnats. I get some when they fly in from outside or on a new plant. They don’t live long enough to breed much. It really could be juvenile versions of the adults. I would replace the entire soil and disinfectant the roots/pots with hydrogen peroxide before repotting.
