HELP. I propagated an elephant ear recently purchased from the hardware store. The mother looks pretty strong but some of my babies look sad. I’ve upped nutrition and placed closer to light. Any suggestions? Or is this just a sad prop?

If the leaves are damp it is probably getting too much water and the bright light will help it. If the leaves are dry or just normal it is starting to get a bit sunburnt and maybe move it next to a more shady window or move it a bit farther away. Since the baby leaves are newer they aren’t quite ready for all the strong light or can’t handle the extra water.
2 Me gustaOkay! They were damp before and now dry so I think I just over adjusted 😅 I will attempt to find a happy medium. This guy is stressful
0 Me gustaCheck the roots for rot caused by over watering. The damp black edges indicate root rot. You will need to cut the rotten roots, disinfectant with hydrogen peroxide and replace the soil to remove the excess moisture/rot/bacteria/fungal infection.
0 Me gustaI’ll check those tonight!
0 Me gustaDo the leafs have roots ?
0 Me gustaYes they all had nice roots 4 inches in length
0 Me gustathis looks like a colocasia to me. as soon as the top layer is a little dry you’ll want to water it. They are bog plants so they don’t want to be dried out at all. Mine live in a tray of water, as soon as the top layer is dry I add more water.
