Whats wrong with my rubber tree? I repotted thinking root bound 2 weeks ago, I did water it thoroughly but know the soil is completely dry (checked Tuesday worrying about root rot). It hasn’t produced a new leaf in 2-3 months and now the top leaves are getting soft with a weird texture. And advice on how to save it? I just pulled off the bottom two yellow leaves but it’s lost 5 the past month from yellowing.

It looks like the pot is too big for this plant. I can’t see the root ball though, so idk for sure. Ficus trees also need waaaayyyy more light than you think. So I personally would downsize it to a pot that is 1-2 inches bigger than the root ball and get it under a grow light if you’re not going to put it outside. Although it may go into shock again from messing with it again. Maybe you could just start with the more light and go from there before messing with the pot again

It’s got a big root that just out pretty far. This is smallest pot I could get width wise to make sure it doesn’t bend its root. I do think Grow light and humidifier could help! I’ll try watering it again in a week to let the soil get bone dry also.

These plants need high humidity consider a humidifier or pebble tray
