Anyone have a suggestion as to why my snake plant is yellowing? I bought it off of Facebook marketplace about two months ago and I’ve only watered it once since I’ve got it. It’s actually yellowing quite rapidly. Any help appreciated!

Sunburnt, or no enough sun. To much or two little water first check if there are any bugs, maybe going with like a magnifying glass and check then check and see if the soil is dry

I definitely don’t think sunburnt.. but it’s a couple feet away from the window and has a good view of it so i’d be shocked if it was not getting enough light! I’ve checked recently for pests and didn’t see any :( and I’ve only watered it that one time so idk how it would be overwatered

Was the soil completely dry when you watered it? If not, it might be overwatered. If the soil has been completely dry for a while, maybe it’s thirsty. When did the leaves start turning yellow and when did you water it?

Yes! I check with a chopstick always to make sure. I last watered it about a month ago. I think the leaves started to yellow about a week ago

Yellow means too much water or not enough light; browning means not enough water or too much sun.

If it’s not water or lighting; check the roots. If there is an issue there, the plant can’t deliver what it needs to the tips of the leaves.

I would also see if it needs to be reported. It seems like a pretty big plant.

Thanks everyone! I moved it closer to the sun. I forgot to mention that she was actually repotted about two months ago, so hopefully that’s not the issue. Going to see what happens. Thanks!
