So, I’ve had this orchid for only a little while, it’s currently in sphagnum moss and it’s recently started dawning these spots? The blooms themselves and their stems seem perfectly fine but I just want to see if anyone knows what this might be and if it’s a cause for concern. Usually the humidity is around 60% and temperature at 60-70’. It’s only gone down in the last day due to snow storms.

Orchids LOVE dry soil (hence orchid bark) they don’t really like being moist. And moss is…. Well moss. It sucks up moisture 😭 I’d recommend moving her into some REALLY chunky soil with a good amount of orchid bark in it. There’s other advice on cutting off blooms and how to prepare them to bloom again if you’re interested.
