Hello, my cactus which is a lemon ball is squishy on one side, but not rotten yet. There are also some spots and the needles on the squishy side are not as pokey or long. Any ideas what it is or what to do? Please let me know, thank you! Ps sick side right, healthy side left

Cactus really need well draining soil and drainage holes or they will end up rotting. You could transplant it into a plastic pot that fits inside this cup/pot that has drainage. Water it over the sink, let it drip, and then place it back inside the cup/pot you have it in now. I don’t have experience with this species, but hopefully that will get you going in the right direction until someone else chimes in.😊
