Ive got this root at the base of my thai con & im not too sure if its doing well or meant to look this this? Hasnt grown into the soil & the end isnt as hard as it used to be?

SunnyAerial roots can grow into the soil or just stay above the soil. Neither is wrong. The roots can start out pliable and later harden a bit as a cork or soft bark texture develops on it.
