Thank you! Ordering some now because apple cider vinegar + a cherry isn’t doing it anymore ha.
4 Mi piaceCan you tell me what these are called and where you order them from? TIA. 😊💚🪴
0 Mi piaceThanks for the reply! I’ve used the yellow butterfly sticky traps, and they were miserable… They stuck to absolutely everything! (my hands, my clothing, my hair… You name it, it stuck!) But the worst part, was that it stuck to some of the plant leaves, and they tore when I tried to remove the butterfly traps. That was the end of the butterflies. But, the ones that you are using on the yellow card that you stick in the soil, I’ve seen those used before and was very interested in them. I checked Amazon, and they don’t carry We The Wild products. But I guess I can order them from Google, as you did. Again, thanks for your post. Regards. 😊💚🪴
0 Mi piaceOh also these ones have a small strip on one edge that isn’t sticky! Super helpful for placing them
1 mi piaceDefinitely a plus! 😊💚🪴
0 Mi piacegnats loooooove sphag moss so you might be fighting an uphill battle
2 Mi piaceYeah I’ve been noticing that. But here’s the dilemma then. Those are my lemon and lime trees and they need high humidity. I live in Alaska (really low humidity in the winter. So like 8 months of the year lol) Per husband, I’m not allowed to use humidifiers anymore 😂 I’ve got pebble trays under all my humidity plants and I’ve used a hygrometer and it’s not changing the humidity hardly at all. If at all. So my next solution was top layering w sphagnum moss. I used a hygrometer for that and it works! Raises the humidity by at least 10. So what do I do if not using sphagnum moss? I really would love to hear what anyone/you has found for that 😋
1 mi piaceI have a handheld steamer that I give my humidity lovers a pass with every once in a while — or maybe you just get the humidifier anyway (a small one that maybe he won’t notice lol 😆)
3 Mi piaceDefinitely, remove the sphagnum moss. It dries slowly and provides a breeding ground for the gnats.
1 mi piaceSame question I asked of Carbs person, I’d love to hear from u too! 🙃
1 mi piaceGet the humidifier. Get a small one. I have an old aromatherapy cold diffuser similar to the one in the picture. You can use it without essential oils to provide cool mist. Place it near the plants. Leaving the moss will likely see root rot from the slow drying of the soil. Larvae of fungus gnats will thrive on rotting roots. That’s why you can fill up the yellow sticky plastic in a short time. Good luck!
