Black leaves on flytraps CAN be bad but it depends. If it's an old leaf, flytraps will naturally shed older leaves to focus on growth. However, if it's a new leaf then it can be a sign of root rot or improper lighting conditions. I would recommend either draining the excess water if it's a bog setup, or possibly moving it somewhere to have more varied sunlight; Don't do both at the same time though or you might not know which one fixed it😅 Good luck and I hope it works out !

I am also having the same issues. What is a bog set up? I used the growers advice am growing it in a basket w/moss in standing water. It also never opens any leaves enough to be fed.
