I would want to look at the roots. Yellow rings on brown spots are usually lack of oxygen to lead, bacterial infection symptoms. Take plant out of pot and inspect roots and then spray with peroxide to kill any bacteria. Make sure plant is in pot with drainage that is only an inch larger on each side than root ball.

What should I expect the roots to look like? And you mean undiluted hydrogen peroxide?

With the roots , you want to make sure there is no rot… which you would be able to smell and make sure you remove that portion. However if no rot, then just spray with hydrogen peroxide after rinsing off to remove bacteria. Then put in port with drainage that has a mixture of soil and orchard bark. Monitor it and it should come back strong Fiddle leafs can be finicky and they love sunlight
