Identifier said this was a pothos… but it is not flourishing when I treat it like one! Just moved it out of a terrarium and into better-draining soil, but does anyone know what else might help?

Might wanna put it in a small plastic pot until it shows some improvement. Your pot looks way too big for it.

I’m still new to plants. Looks like it could be an N’joy Pothos maybe? I think those are supposed to be much more finicky than the hardier golden ones. The app says these aren’t recommended for me so I know there’s something different required. The growth on my N’joy isn’t exactly flourishing either so maybe that’s just how they are. A lot of the Pothos guides I’ve read mention they’re very sensitive to too much soil and they like to be slightly root bound as well.

I had NO IDEA you could put a plant in too much soil. My god.

this is a polka dot plant, as PlantLady said. they will show you when they need more water; they start to droop and wilt. for light requirements, they like bright indirect sun! also as morgan said, i would repot into a smaller pot that is 1-2 inches bigger than the root ball! good luck, and hope this helps!!
