Alright so my daughters cat got up in her windowsill and got bored… twice now. It has had two leaves for the past month up until yesterday. It was doing great before Rosie decided to be a jerk. Luckily the jerk just chewed the leaves off and didn’t eat them. So she’s fine. The dragon tree… not so much. Any way it could pull through? My 8 year old is hopeful, but I’m not so sure. Thoughts? Suggestions? Plant graveyard? šŸ˜…šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

Ahh a lovely beastie. If this happened in the winter, I would say RIP šŸ˜“ but since it's springtime, there's lots of hope! I would clean up the ends with a fresh trim so the chewed areas don't start to rot. Don't take off much more because all the green areas will keep making chlorophyll to keep your plant alive. It may take a year or two to get the same amount of leaves, but you should start to see new growth within a month or so since it's the active growing season now. Make sure to gently fertilize your plant and you should have it back to healthy in no time!

Also don't mist it for the next day or two to help it seal its new "haircut". Hope this helps and I'm wishing a speedy recovery!!!

It should recover. I recommend a protective dome to deter Rosie. They have plastic bell jars that come in several sizes. 😼

That’s genius! It might work until it grows out a bit and I finish the macrame hanger for her room! Thanks!
