I picked this up at a plant swap. What would you do with it? I moved it near a humidifier and it’s getting a filtered grow light. Any thoughts and tips would be appreciated.

    In my experience, marantas prefer to be further away from their light source than the typical houseplant. They also require distilled water. You could trim away dead leaves and keep it in soil, allowing the soil to dry about half way before watering again. You could also propagate it. My marantas have done fine in ambient humidity, but will respond poorly to tap water.

      Okay thank you. I have well water, would you still go with distilled?

      Yes, only use distilled water on all marantas.

      I have well water as well, but use rain water for my plants that are sensitive to the minerals.
