Also they can fly.. kinda.. so anything near them is sus. I'd give a shower to everything. Then treat. You can also add in a systemic that soaks into the plant and makes them toxic to most pests.

Thrips. They can be hard to get rid of. So sorry. 😞 I’m currently battling them infesting half of my plant collection. They spread quickly, and they lay their eggs inside the plant tissue, so it can be hard to kill them off completely unless you are consistently treating the plants regularly. I’ve had some success with systemic granules in the soil and spraying the plants completely in Castile soap and neem oil (diluted of course). Thrips feed off the sap of the plant, and to my understanding, the little grayish spots are where they’ve sucked out sap.

Their life cycle is about 6 weeks if I remember correctly, so you might not know if you’ve eradicated them for a few months. I’ve heard it recommended to treat the plants weekly and reapply systemic granules in the soil every 8 weeks. There are also pesticide options that I’m not as familiar with.

I had thrips on my money tree that I treated (hosed/showered, Castile, neem) since the summer, so it was a long game for me which wasn’t a big deal, I didn’t use systemic granule (personal preference), I did an organic soil drench with Arber insecticide with each watering and I’m finally seeing no damage on new growth woohoo 🎉

I had those at some point in all of my plants, after bringing home a lovely bouquet of field flowers:)) they like to lay eggs and feed on the underside of leaves and new growth specifically- be sure to give all your plants a shower and check young unfurling leaves. They can also stay on the pot. What I did at that point is wash off every bug I could see, use rubbing alcohol to wipe all leaves & pots & even the whole windowsill, and the General area. Good luck!!
