Hi! It looks like there are deposits of yellow or grey fine dust on the tops of a bunch of the leaves of my fiddle leaf fig tree. It’s like a fine powder/mineral deposit and I’m able to wipe it off without much fuss using a gentle cloth and some misting. I do not see webbing or any other signs of potential pests, just whatever this substance is. I’m wondering if anyone knows what this could be/whether it is cause for concern (see pics)? Thanks!!

my suspicion is it’s minerals and/or dirt and dust that is left behind after water dries up on the leaves.

Mainly yes. But it could also be powdery mildew - this tends to happen when the fig is in low light areas, so make sure your fiddle leaf fig is getting plenty of bright indirect sunlight.

Good to know! It sits in a space where it gets bright indirect light all day so I’d presume it’s not mildew caused by low light and moisture. I cleaned it pretty well yesterday so I’ll keep my eyes out and see if it returns in the meantime.
