overnight and this type of discoloration is typically a result of overwatering

that’s so weird..we just got it yesterday and i went to repot it today, and it was completely root bound and the soil was dry..not a single bit was wet 😭

hmmm…i still think it has something to do with watering. it could be that it went from being super dry to wet and it shocked a bit? there’s really no other explanation for this darkening especially if it happened overnight šŸ¤”

      is it near an AC?

see that’s why i’m confused because i didn’t water it until after the leaves already turned that dark 🄲 im stumped..i’ve dealt with pests, but never have seen this. also it is not near ac…i keep all of them in a room in the house that is more humid and typically warmer than the rest of the house!

šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« well consider me stumped haha — i’d chalk it up to new environment stress and wait it out then šŸ¤ž

I can’t see anything, alarming or anything at all

it’s the darker browning on the leaf…towards the bottom of it.

    Could be cold damage

It might just be transplant shock. Especially since you said it was super dry and root bound.

you think maybe just from changing environments? before i repotted it, it was already that color :/

It could be. How many days did you have it before you repotted it? A lot can cause a plant to go into shock. Is there a drastic temper change, light change, or humidity change between where you got it and your home?
