I got this plant on sale from a “save rack” and knew nothing about it. They said it is a Pink Quill. After reading about a pink quill I have found that they bloom once and then green again or sprout little flowers. How do I know if this has already bloomed and what should I do with it if it already has? I would love to keep it even if it doesn’t flower. I just need some advice and ideas. Thank you! 🌱

So I got one of these as my first plant ever and boy did I set myself up for a rollercoaster ride lol The pretty light colored center it has IS the bloom. A lot of stores sell them at their bloomed stage cause people like how they look more. Once the flower dies so will the plant, but I guess that’s also when it puts out babies (from what I read). Watering for these is a little different as well, I learned that the hard way. I suggest watching a quick YouTube video on it, it’s hard to explain but you wanna get the water to sit in the little pockets the leaves make against the stem. The water gets absorbed through there instead of the through the roots

Thank you for that advice! That’s very helpful! I’m going to water it correctly tomorrow!
