Recently I neglected my euphoria Indian corn cob plant and it died, does anyone know what caused it? I took a piece of it off and it was hollow on the inside

A hollow interior in a dead corn cob euphorbia is most likely caused by root or stem rot, which can occur from overwatering or poorly draining soil. Rot begins by killing the plant's roots, and then a fungal infection spreads, decaying the core of the stem. 🙏🏽
