Hello everyone 👋🏼 I went to repot my snake plant cuz it’s leaves were turning yellow. I thought it was pot bound. I took it out of the pot and the soil was completely wet/soaked. Now I’m thinking it was overwatering. Am I right? From now on I’m going to use my meter to be sure my babies need to be watered.

Yes! Yellowing leaves is a sign of overwatering. If the soil is totally wet I would suggest removing all of it, checking to see if there is no root rot, mushy roots etc and reporting with new soil. It will thrive! Good luck!

These plants like tight spaces too so don’t go with a pot that’s too big. These guys like dryer conditions so err on the side of less watering. Good luck!

Make sure it’s not in just regular potting soil as it’s hard to tell but looks like it might be too dense in the picture. It needs a cactus soil like mix.

Yeah houseplant soil isn’t good for these. you’ll need a cactus succulent mix.

They are plants that like borderline neglect. Well at least mine are. I wait until they completely dry out before watering again.
