What are these things in my soil? Is it fungus gnat larvae?

    I’m don’t think they are, but it’s hard to tell from the photo and I could be mistaken. Fungus gnat larvae have white, wormlike bodies but have a black head (think of a maggot with a poppy seed-like head).
