My Chinese money plant is starting to die and I want to save it before it gets too late. My last Chinese money plant did the exact same thing (bottom leaves get lighter until they fall off) I thought it was normal at the beginning but more and more leaves fell until no leaves were left. I wanted to get a new plant (this plant) as a redo so I gave it more light, better soil, and more water. I’ve had it for 4 months and up until now it’s been growing babies and many new leaves. It was growing so much I repotted it from a 5 inch pot to a 7 inch pot with a chunky soil mix. I water it once a week and fertilize once a month during growing season. Is there anything that I can do to save the is plant? And any tips to make sure the rest of its leaves don’t turn yellow? Thank you in advance!!!

So in my experience with Peperomia's, most like to dry out a bit before they are watered -- are you watering on a schedule or based on what the soil is like? I would also recommend double checking the rootball, a jump from 5 to 7in is usually not a big deal, but if the roots aren't big enough to absorb all that water, it won't help it grow. I know it sometimes seems weird but I have a few plants that are big and lush and yet they have comically small pots, just due to the roots just not being all that big.

I water when the top 3 inches of soil is dry. I also use my moister meter to check the soil deeper down and I water if it says 2 or less I water. This happens to be every week so I just water then It was moderately root bound in its old pot and it loves it new 7 inch pot and has grown a lot more leaves. I can also see little parts of root coming through the clear pot.

I find Pileas like to have roots not soaking wet. I have 2 in Leca that are very happy and 1 in soil that likes to be on the drier side. I do notice when they drop it happens quick but they recoup quick also. Cut the top and propagate it!

I let mine dry out between waterings but its soil is very chunky so that happens to be every week. I chopped off the top of my first pilea (the dead one) because it only had 2 leaves and placed it in leca. It has been doing great and now uas 6 leaves.

I love Leca!!! The Pilea really thrive in it! I have tons of plants in it that absolutely shock people. I have a snake plant in Leca 😂. Pilea always bounce back.

Everyone likes to grow theirs differently, but I’ve found that when mine got too crowded in the pot, they started getting a bit wilty and losing leaves. My first one grew big and bushy to around a foot high (had to rehome it because it got too big to bring with us when we moved last year 💔) and it was always happiest when I separated out the new pups to let the main plant keep all the nutrients and water to itself. As well as enough space in the pot, it needed enough light and needed to dry out a little between waterings - both of which it sounds like yours has!
