Jade plant has some scale. I assume this is just from hard water in the Midwest and not pests? Doesn’t move and doesn’t look organic. Even under magnification

That’s scale not hard water. Scale pest doesn’t move, it sits on the leaf and sucks the sap out from the plant.

Gotcha. Any thought on how to address it, alcohol? Neem?

Since it’s a succulent you can spray with straight isopropyl alcohol. I’ve also used a mix of 1 part alcohol/ 2 parts water and a pump of dish soap, scrape them off gently (I use a 2 inch paint brush) and don’t rinse just let the solution sit & evaporate. Either treatment don’t do more than once a week.

If the infestation is really bad you can use a pesticide.
