Help! This white mildew / mold keeps growing back on the top layer of my Monstera. I’ve started watering it less and I also used hydrogen peroxide in the soil after removing about an inch of soil two weeks ago, and it’s back again. What do I do? 😭

Cut back on the water and get some copper based fungicide

You may even need to add some perlite to help with drainage

Does the perlite go on top and then get watered or need to be mixed into the soil?

You mix it in with the soil

Remove all the powdery mildew from the plant. Besides cutting back on watering I would replant in an aroid mix. Make sure to check your roots when you do.

Changing the soil and cutting back on watering should get rid of it

This also happened to my plant. It kept coming back no matter what I did. I ended up having to get rid of all of its soil and wash the entire plant with water. I also replaced the top layer soiled a perlite and pumice mix to be extra safe. It’s been 2 months and it thankfully hasn’t come back.
