Can someone tell me what’s wrong with my monsterra? I altérnate giving it light but one leaf and stalk turned completely yellow. I water when it’s dry.

If the rest of the plant looks healthy, no pests. It's at the bottom, so may be an older leaf

It looks like it needs more soil and food. Probably hungry and can’t sustain more leaves
6 J'aimeYeah I bought it from a plant store and they told me to repot it soon but I’m not sure what the best type of soil is

Lots of coco chips and perlite. :)
1 j'aimeI didnt even see that root. Roots being in the water will cause yellowing too. Use a chunky mix. I use equal parts perlite, fox farm ocean, orchid/kiwi bark. Then charcoal and Mycorrhizal Inoculant (but those aren't expressly necessary) Sol Soils makes a nice premade, if you don't wanna buy components
2 J'aimedefinitely needs to be repotted. it looks like you recently removed another yellow leaf too. like 9s said, it doesn’t have what it needs to sustain the leaves, let alone grow new ones. well draining mix, water when dry, keep it consistent. you mentioned alternating light? i’m not sure what that means but these aren’t good with change. you need to pick a place (east or west facing windows work best) and leave it there. they’re very sensitive to change and inconsistency
