By any chance did you water it really really well before you left? Yellow leaves are a sign of over watering. But I am no good at these Adensonii. They hate me. So I really shouldn’t be advising you at all. Mine won’t grow hardly at all, and they are trying really hard to turn yellow and also going pale. Super frustrating. I don’t mean to be discouraging but I’ve finally decided to put this plant on my no-go list. I hope you figure it out. This plant is one of my favorites and hopefully yours will be lovely again. Hang in there!!
0 LikesHmmmm. After looking more closely at your photos, I don’t think that’s from overwatering. Usually it’s the oldest leaves that yellow first. Your leaves are turning yellow randomly all over the plant and you have some browning and shriveling going on. I don’t know what to do either! Hopefully someone can help more. 🥹

I did! There doesn’t seem to be any pests

have you fertilized the plant at all? the pale and brown, crispy leaves at the top look like nitrogen deficiency which is super common with monstera since they are such heavy feeders. i fertilize both of mine with 1/4 strength organic fertilizer every watering. definitely check for pests as well though
4 Likesif you really want to save it, i would suggest trying to propagate! cut the stem below where the leaves are yellow/shriveled at the top and above it at the bottom so you’re only left with green leaves. you can then either take them all together and coil them on top of one pot of soil, or cut it down to individual leaves with a little stem and try to propagate that way. either way, just make sure you keep a whole leaf and a little bit of the stem so there’s a node for roots to emerge. good luck!

hmmmm, lower yellow leaves are more common as a plant matures (they die off first) but the top ones? that’s interesting. I’ve read that if your yellow leaves are all over a monstera, then it might be due to underwatering. how often do you water it? also, what is the light situation like? and yes it could also be a nitrogen deficiency. I use Foliage Pro with every watering of all of my plants. it’s a low dose formula so it won’t burn your plants. I also keep my monstera adansonii a foot away from a south window and it’s in a chunky soil mix (equal parts potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite). it grows like a weed and doesn’t stop growing!!!
