Does anyone know what could be causing this to happen to my spilt leaf philodendron? It appears on some of my Xanadu as well. I have been diligently treating all of my plants with neem oil and horticultural oil, alternately, as I have had a big outbreak in mealy bugs, even though I haven’t seen evidence of those on these plants. The younger leaves have been turning very yellow and dying off, though I haven’t seen that in the last week or so after sprinkling diatomaceous earth around the base. Do I have a pest/nourishment combination situation here? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have pets that are playing or crashing into the leaves? Is it windy where the plant is located? My cat sometimes jumps on leaves and sits on my plants and damages things. Also the wind where I lives is strong and definitely causes leaf and whole stem damage. Your plant looks very healthy and is beautiful. Mine lives indoors in a big pot

No, we don’t have any pets around that may be doing that. And a different type of philodendron has some selective leaves that look “shredded” like that as well. Maybe it is a cause of the wind, I didn’t really think of that. I’ll keep my eye on it. Maybe it’s residual shock from a winder with snow in a zone 9 area (though I did cover them every day)🥶! Do you have any guesses about the holes?
