is this scale?? these marks are so small I can’t tell. I originally thought they were scarring from a thrip infestation so they’ve been there for about a month (I can’t tell if the bumps have increased or not) but I recently learned about scales 🫠 a couple of the bumps can be scraped off and there’s a small divot where it was. I can’t see any little legs and nothing is moving. I just watered it today and it gets great sunlight.

What type of water do you have? City? Well? Rain?

city. it hasn’t been an issue so far with my other plants. my monstera came to me with a thrip infestation and seemed to be fine since. all my other plants are putting out new leaves and shoots consistently including the monstera.

Hmm, well if you haven’t had issues with scaling, it seems as if those thrips were hiding. Personally, I hose all my plants down and add a glob of concentrated neem oil when I get any insects. I brought mealybugs home after purchasing a pothos and god damn those little bugs were determined to infest everything.

Scale comes off super easy by scraping with a fingernail, and usually larger. Does look a little bit more like thrips to me :/

Yeah I can scrape stuff off the stems but the underside of the leaves is significantly more difficult
