Hi all ✌🏾 Just came back from a weekend away to find my ficus elastica has a little, um, thing sprouting from the bottom, just above the soil line. Overall growth on him is okay, so I’m wondering what this is, or if any action is required? Also just noticed those 2 additional fungus looking shoots coming from the surrounding area. Healthy mix perhaps? Haven’t repotted recently soo..

Great, got it :) will it grow downwards then or should I probably add a little more potting mix to cover it?

Yep looks like aerial roots 😇 you can direct them back to soil, cover them, cut them for aesthetic purposes or just leave them be ! They’ll take up water and nutrients just like any of the other roots
