can you take a clearer photo of the brown bumps? are they hard and sticky or soft and mushy? do they come off if you gently scrape them? could be scale but I’d need a clearer photo for more info. if it is scale, you can spot treat them with rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. your orchids are probably underwatered and stressed from receiving 2 ice cubs per week. it’s not your fault; the care guides that are provided by the orchid companies are completely wrong. orchids are tropical plants and ice on their roots is a total shock to their system which can be very damaging, plus the ice cubes are not providing your roots with the full soak they need to be properly watered. Check out Plants with Krystal or Tanner the Planter’s orchid care videos on youtube. They need to be potted in orchid bark- not soil- and watered thoroughly with room temperature water when the roots turn silver rather than green (I prefer clear planters so that I can see the roots for this reason).

looks like scale to me. if it is scale, they should feel hard to the touch and come off with a q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol. you can just spot treat them that way and then wipe off the leaves with clean water to get any alcohol off the leaves. (just be careful not to get water in the center of the leaves or dry it out if you do to prevent the crown from rotting).

ah okay if they’re crumbly then it’s probably not scale. it could be cells that died due to cold shock which causes dry, brown, corky bumps. super common when ice cubes are used for watering (again, not your fault that the orchid producers give such bad advice).
