Any idea if this fungus looking stuff in my soil is a problem?? I’ve noticed it in a select few of my plants soil, but the plants themselves seem fine.

i don’t know what this fungus is called but it’s harmless — there is quite a lot of it here but that just could be because of the plastic pot and being able to see it all

personally i scrape the top layer off w a disposable spoon & then use a fungus spray over all the soil & base of the plant. this is often caused by decomposing plant matter, for me it starts w dry leaves from the plant falling onto the soil that begin to break down after watering. however im not sure if it’s bad for your plants either.

I had this on one of my smaller monsteras. I changed the soil to a chunkier mix. And I sprayed her with some hydrogen peroxide and some water. And put her in a spot with more light. And put some cinnamon on top of her soil. She’s good as new now
