Just keep an eye on it for infection.

My pothos is doing the same thing! She was recently repotted, so I assumed it was something to do with that. I am also curious if anyone has a better answer.

This looks good to me! I would personally snip away the old baby leaves to encourage bigger, stronger growth.

Thank you!! Going to keep an eye for infection, and snip the old leaves!! I did check the roots and they were pretty soft and I’m thinking mushy!! But I’m def going to keep an eye on it

What you are describing and in the post & in the comment section is a case of root rot infection. While it does look healthy I do see a little discoloration in the foliage to a lighter green color which is an indication of that, watch the soil moisture it might be holding water and the roots can’t drink the water are just suffocating and turning black, mushy/soft.

I believe you are correct I took it out of the pot and the roots signified everything this community and the internets have been telling me … sigh!! I’m going to try and save it

Easy fix since you noticed it now, should be fine. Fingers 🤞🏼 either way, good luck!
