is this fungus growing on the roots of my pothos propagation? should i be worried or are those new roots?

That definitely looks abnormal.
1 j'aimeThe tips of the main roots are still white. I would give it more time and see what happens. Maybe a little hydrogen peroxide diluted in its water for half an hour if you are concerned enough.
1 j'aimeI didn’t think it was normal so I checked with good ole ai and no it’s not normal but I need a close up pic of his the first pic is kinda laid out.
0 J'aimeI personally have propagated 100’s of pothos and all kinds of other plants as well and I’ve never seen anything like that. I have gotten like a powdery mold on the dry parts cuz they weren’t getting enough air circulation. Is it dry? Fuzzy?
0 J'aimethe roots are submerged in water, and are fuzzy irl
0 J'aimeirl?
0 J'aimeThe picture is a bit fuzzy but I don't think it's a fungus. It would more likely be an insect of some type perhaps mealy bug or scale. If those little nodules look fuzzy like cotton that would be mealy bug.
0 J'aimethey are fuzzy…
0 J'aimeEven without a final diagnosis I would treat for mealy bug, and treat the plants that are near this plant as well. Whatever you use make sure you get in all the leaf axles and crevices. Those little buggers love to hide!
1 j'aimeIt is normal in some water props. The plant is putting out mineral deposits. Not harmful, but you can gently rinse it off when you do a water change.
1 j'aimeMy first thought was mealy bugs but maybe the prior comment is correct?? If you are an experimenter wait and see what happens. I’d you’ll be devastated if the plant does treat it with peroxide and maybe get rid of that one leaf. Godspeed!! Would love an update! 💚💚
