Hello! New basil plant mom here! This is Daisy Calio and she’s sad. Any advice to make her happy? Also how do I know when the leaves are ripe to use in cooking? Thanks!

    Gradually place it into full sun. It needs 6 hours to 8 hours of full sunlight. Water when it’s 50% dry. It doesn’t like completely dry soil. Bottom water to avoid fungus growth on the leaves. Fertilize by mixing organic fertilizer in or a timed release fertilizer. Check if the nursery already fertilized with timed release fertilizer. Good luck🍀🪴

    You can eat those leaves I think anytime. Obviously it’s nicer when they’re bigger.

    Pruning the larger leaves will encourage new leaves to grow.
