The center of my turtle vine is dying, but the ends are super healthy and putting out new leaves. Anyone know how I can fix this? Is it under watered?

It looks sun scorched to me. Depending on the type of turtle vine you have, it may need partial sun, not full. So I would just prune off any dead leaves and put it in a spot where it won’t be getting too much direct light.

It’s been on that empty shelf where it gets indirect light, I moved it for the photo and left it in case it wasn’t getting enough light 😕

Oh ok. I’ve never seen a turtle vine like this so my best guess is that it is over/underwatered (hard to tell). Always check if the first inch of the soil is dry before you water, and make sure your pot has sufficient drainage (perlite, drainage hole). You might even have to check for root rot as well. I would also probably keep it in a well lit area as well, because I’m seeing that the growth is a little leggy. Try and rotate it every couple of days as well, so that you can get even sunlight all around. Hopefully this helps, because my initial reaction was like “that looks sun burnt.” But looking at it closely, I see what you’re saying.

I had this issue with my wandering jew. I trimmed them all back & propagated them in water until they grew roots and then back into soil they went! Can be due to the plants age which was my issue & mine is thriving now!

Now that I’m looking closer at your pictures, this plant actually looks like a tradescantia (wandering jew). They like moist water but not wet. Definitely trim them back and brighter light. Mine is in a north facing window!

It came from a cutting of a friend’s callisia pink panther, but didn’t adopt like any of the pink variegation 😅

They’re both Tradescantia’s so should be same care. It was a process to cut them back but you can put the cuttings right back into the soil!
